The Toronto Maple Leafs were
born on the 14th of February, 1927 when Conn Smythe took
over the team previously known as the Toronto St. Patricks.
The Leafs played out of the Mutual St. Arena, also known as
the "Arena Gardens." The Maple Leafs would
eventually move to Maple Leafs Gardens in 1931 and would go
on to win the Stanley Cup in that very same year. The
Leafs now play out of the Air
Canada Centre. After a year off, the Leafs are
back at it with a new look roster including: Eric Lindros,
Jeff Oneil and Jason Allison. With the new look NHL the
Leafs are in for a tough year.
