Big-league baseball came to Toronto on April 7, 1977, when the Blue Jays defeated the Chicago White Sox 9-5. Rookie firstbaseman Doug Ault, 27, homered twice in the Jays' first game.  The Toronto Blue Jays went on to become World Series champions in 1992 and again in 1993.  The year 2001 will marked the 25th anniversary for the Blue Jays who are still trying to re-create the success they have had in the past. They Jays picked up star picther AJ Burnett and will try to make a run at the Yankees and Bosox in the upcoming 2006 season.
