Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport (LBPIA) is located 27 km (16 miles) north/west of downtown Toronto and within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) which includes the regions of Durham, York, Halton, Peel and Toronto. The airport - covering 1,792 hectares (4,430 acres) - has been Toronto's main international airport since 1939 when it was first known as Malton Airport.  The Airport is easily accessible from any of the following highways: 09, 427, 400, 401, 403, 410 and the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way).

Lester B. Pearson International Airport (LBPIA) is located 27 km (16 miles) north/west of downtown Toronto. Highways 409 and 427 provide direct freeway access to the Lester B. Pearson International Airport. Other highway routes leading to the airport include Highways 400, 401, 403, 410 and the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way). When on the highway, this sign will direct you to the airport:
