The Air Canada Centre is a
revolutionary sports arena located in the heart of Downtown
Toronto and home of the Toronto
Maple Leafs and the Toronto
Raptors. The doors were opened on the 20th of
February 1999, when the Toronto Maple Leafs hosted the
Montreal Canadiens. The following night the Toronto
Raptors played host to the Vancouver Grizzlies in what was
the first NBA game played at the Air Canada Centre.
The arena can seat up to 18,800 people for hockey games and
up to 19,800 people for basketball games.
